Monumen Nasional (National Monument or Monas) often mentioned is known as a tourist attraction in the city center which is a monument Jakarta Indonesian national pride is very historic. Monas (National Monument) was built on August 17, 1961 in order to commemorate and perpetuate the greatness of the Indonesian struggle against invaders known as the Revolution of August 17, 1945. The monument was completed in 1967 and spent approximately 7 billion dollars, the monument was opened on June 12, 1975 by Jakarta Governor Ali Sadikin. Monas height reaches 132 meters. Park

History Museum Room

Independence Room

Flames made of bronze with a height of 14.5 tonnes of 14 meters and a diameter of 6 meters, consists of 17 sections joined together. The whole flame coated gold plate weighing 35 kg. On the 50th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, the gold layer, which coats the tongue of fire, plus 15 kg, so the total weight to 50 kg.
