Mercedes-Benz Ener G Force
Mercedes-Benz is always a surprise, this time at the 2012 LA Auto Show Design Challenge presented a high-tech vehicle as a police vehicle to highway patrol. By 2025, law enforcement officers will need to adapt to even more crowded roads with electronically monitored and controlled traffic, a much larger population, and changes in human behavior. More and more people will feel young and active. They will want escape from the concrete highway systems and get back to experiencing nature. Leisure time will be dominated by outdoor activities and a desire for freedom and adventure sometimes in harsh environment which are not closely monitored by satellite surveillance. These new times, will require now emergency vehicle for the police. That is where the Ener-G-Force come in, to Assist, Rescue, and Search.
Mercedes-Benz Ener-G-Force is a future-oriented vehicle that is used to assist and facilitate the task of policy in carrying out its work in helping people in need, rescue those who are in danger, and seek and find something or someone is missing. As the most environmentally friendly SUV, the “Mercedes-Benz Ener-G-Force” meets these requirements and helps police and crews around the world. In terms of design, the Ener-G-Force is based on the G-Class; the off-road icon that has been in production since the 1970s, and continues to shape the future as a structurally and technologically advanced SUV.
Mercedes-Benz Ener-G-Force designed by Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America, Inc.: Advanced Design Center California with Design Team are Hubert Lee as Creative Director, Jackson Luttig as Designer, Sylvain Wehnert as Designer, Armin Sinicki as 3D Sculptor, and Alex Dang as Character Design. Executive Design Support are Prof. Dr, h.c. Gorden Wagener as VP Mercedes-Benz Cars, Vans, and Trucks, Mr. Steffen Koehl as Head of Advanced Design / Global Strategic Design, and Mrs. Margarete Wies as Head of Advenced Design California.
Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America, Inc.: Advanced Design Center California followed The LA Auto Show Design Challenge event with other automakers, including Subaru with Subaru SHARC (the winner of Design Challenge event), BMW Group DesignworksUSA with The DesignworksUSA BMW E-Patrol (Human-Drone Pursuit Vehicle), General Motors with GM Volt Squad, Honda North America (Honda R&D Americas, Inc., Advanced Design Studio, California) with Honda CHP Drone Squad, Honda R&D Company, Ltd., Advanced Design Studio, Tokyo with The Honda “CHiPs” 2025 Traffic Crawler.
Automakers are required to constantly innovate, creating new future-oriented vehicle with sophisticated technology to compete in the automotive world with the increasingly fierce market competition. 2012 The LA Auto Show Design Challenge event will inspire future patrol cars around the world to tackle traffic crimes and other crimes.
